The Health Office is open from 7:55am until 3:15pm and provides assistance for students who are injured or become ill at school. Kindly remember, it is NOT a substitute for a family physician's care. If your child is ill at home in the morning, please keep them home from school. Any child with a fever of 100 degrees or greater, must stay home from school and be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Height, weight, blood pressure, vision and hearing are checked periodically and a cumulative health record is kept in the nurse's office on each pupil. The health record also has all of the required immunizations that your child has received over the years. If your child has a private physical, please send that information to the school nurse. Also, please provide any updated immunizations your child receives.
Rules for taking medication must be strictly adhered to as prescribed by the Hamilton Twp BOE. Any medication taken at school must have a written order from a physician. The medication must be labeled with the child's name and be in the original container. No loose medication in baggies or envelopes will be accepted.
If you are entering high school in September, and want to play a fall sport, please refer to the home page of your high school for information on sports, try-outs and physical forms.
For further information, the nurse may be contacted at 631-4162, ext. 3570. The fax number is 609-631-4196.
