•Important District Grading Message for Marking Period Three:

•All assignments that were completed by March 13th will be graded and counted in a traditional manner

•Any assignment given during our remote learning (past three weeks) in marking period 3 can only serve to enhance a student's grade; these assignmnets cannot be detrimental to a student's grade

•As such, in Powerschool for Marking Period 3, any remote learning assignment you see in PURPLE is an assignment that has been "exempted" by the teacher because that grade would be detrimental to the student's grade

    Monday, April 13

    Math (ALL GROUPS)

    • Objective: Telling time to the nearest five minute.
    • Assignment: Telling time pages 1-2

    ELA - Reading

    • Objective: Read and demonstrate comprehension of a magazine article.
    • Assignment: Read Scholastic Action March “He Makes Gifs for a Living!” pages 2-3. Do the mini skills workout 1-3. Complete “Your/You’re” grammar page.

    ELA - Spelling

    • Objective: Practice spelling words with /s/ and /z/ patterns
    • Assignment: Choose three word study activities and complete using all 15 spelling words.

    Social Studies

    • Objective: Comprehension of grade level vocabulary.
    • Assignment: This is a two-day assignment. Use the vocabulary page and create Google Slides OR flash cards
      • Google Slide Directions
        • There is already a template on the Social Studies Google Classroom. Use this template
        • The title of each slide is the vocabulary word. It’s already there for you.
        • Write the definition for each word
        • Add at least one related picture for each slide
        • Give your slide a theme
      • Flash Card Directions
        • You can use index cards or paper cut to your preferred size
        • Write the vocabulary word on one side
        • Trace the vocabulary word with a crayon or marker
        • Write the definition on the back
        • Draw a picture if you want

    • Assignment: Complete the Anticipation Guide FIRST. Then read Scholastic Action March “The Billionaire Club” pages 4-7. Answer the 5 questions about billionaires in the magazine.

    ELA - Spelling

    • Objective: Practice spelling words with /s/ and /z/ patterns
    • Assignment: Write all words in ABC order

    Social Studies
