I was born and raised in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. I attended Nottingham High School and graduated in 2001. As a student at Nottingham I was involved in soccer, winter track and spring track. I earned 12 varsity letters and many athletic awards. I also participated in FBLA, peer leadership, and represented my class as vice president. I was a devoted student-athlete and in 2009 I was inducted in the Nottingham Athletic Hall of Fame.
After graduating Nottingham, I attended Temple University on a full athletic scholarship. While there I received a BA degree in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing. As a Division I student-athlete I learned hard work, discipline and time management. I graduated from Temple in August 2015 and moved back to Hamilton to assist my parents with their grocery business. As an athlete at heart, I missed sports and began volunteering at Nottingham as a soccer and track coach. This opened my eyes to the profession of teaching. I started substituting and developed a passion for motivating students.
While I continued as a volunteer coach, substitute teacher and human resource manager, I decided to further my education in business and finished my Masters in Business Administration in 2009. With a background in business and a love for helping others, I decided to work towards my graduate level teaching certificate at Rider University. I successfully completed my student teaching at Nottingham High School in the spring of 2009 and received my Business Comprehension Teaching Certificate. I was hired as a Business Education Teacher at Nottingham in November 2009.
Since then I have advised numerous clubs including Key Club, FBLA and DECA. I also devoted much time to coaching numerous sports. I was the head coach for cross country, winter track and girls spring track from 2012-2016. Through my experience as a teacher, advisor and coach I developed a love for educational leadership. In 2014, I completed my Masters in Educational Leadership from Rider University and received my principal and supervisor certificate.
I was married in 2015 to my husband Lou and have two children, Anthony and Ella. I am a proud wife, mother and educator. Nottingham High School has had such an impact on my life and continues to inspire me as an educator. I can proudly say I love the Nottingham community! I look forward to meeting new students, working with staff and growing as an educator. I am excited to have a successful 2018/19 school year! Let's go Stars!!
