    6th and 8th grade Physical Education: Mrs. Jewell

    The goal of this program is the development of a physically active person through movement and a variety of activities. Students will become lifelong learners/movers by embracing and practicing fitness and wellness habits, participating in a variety of sports and movement experiences, and developing a positive social skills. Physical Education is a valuable part of a student's development.

    The students will have cooperative group and individual activities. Students will engage in a variety of activities in a safe environment. Sportsmanship and participation will be stressed.

    All students are required to bring a change of clothes each day for class. The students can not wear the clothes that they wear to school. Students need to engage in healthy practices. Clothing should be appropriate for school and physical activity.

    Units for marking period 1 & 4: softball, soccer, flag football, track, x-country, game and fitness unit.

    Unit for marking period 2 & 3: volleyball, dance, basketball, floor hockey, physical fitness, games, and recreation unit.

    Unprepared: -5

    Partial prepared: -2

    Poor participation: -2

    Jewelry, gum and late to squad: -1
