Important District Grading Message for Marking Period Three:

    • All assignments that were completed by March 13th will be graded and counted in a traditional manner.

    • Any assignment given during our Remote Learning (past three weeks) in Marking Period 3, can only serve to ENHANCE a student’s grade; these assignments cannot be detrimental to a student’s grade.

    • As such, in Powerschool for Marking Period 3, any Remote Learning assignment that you see in PURPLE is an assignment that has been “exempted” by the teacher because that grade would be detrimental to the student’s grade.

If you need to access WKS 1 & 2 ASSIGNMENTS, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK: Week 1 & 2 Assignments

Wednesday, April 1, 2020 - Day 13:  Read everything VERY CAREFULLY

All Classes:   This week all of all of my students will be completing three assignments.  Please work on each a little everyday.

FIRST -  Complete TWO more i-Ready Individualized assignments by Friday, April 3rd at 3pm.

SECOND -  You will be adding two more entries to your ONLINE MEMORY JOURNAL SLIDESHOW.  If you have not added one slide/entry to update it for this week, please do so today.  Then, your second one can be done on Thursday or Friday.  Do not submit it until Fri. 4/3 before 3pm.

After reading my EXAMPLE PAGE, please DELETE it if you already have not.  Then, create a nice TITLE PAGE at the beginning of your "2020 Quarantine Memory Slideshow" Journal

Remember, the purpose is to record what you are doing and what you want to remember about this time period.  You are to CREATE two separate entries per week.  I'd suggest doing the first one on the Monday or Tuesday of the week, so you can document what you did and how you felt over the weekend and the second one, either on Wed. or Thurs. of the week.  Be sure to type the date at the top of each entry and be as detailed as possible.  I'm looking for you to fill most of the slide in a 14 - 16 font size.   DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR JOURNAL SLIDESHOW until Friday, April 3rd.  Thank you.

FINALLY  -  On Google Classroom there is a SLIDESHOW PROJECT (different from your Journal) that is due by the end of the week.  Please read all directions carefully.

On another note, if you joined GETEPIC Books (through my GC LINK), you may use it for Independent Reading.  It is wonderful!  However, I learned (Thanks, Natalie!) that student access is limited until 4pm.  If you want to use GetEpic Online after 4pm, your parents have to create a free, private account with their email addresses.

PLEASE CHECK POWERSCHOOL, so you can see if you have any missing assignments.

After SPRING BREAK, we will continue reading the novels, Percy Jackson (1/3) and The Westing Game (4/6 & 7/9).  Miss seeing everyone!  Email andy questions you have. Thank you!
