Hello! My name is Miss Lauren Ellis and I teach second grade at Yardville school. Having attended Yardville myself, I am thrilled to be teaching in such a wonderful community.
While 2019-2020 will be my seventh year teaching at Yardville, I have had many experiences in education. I have a bachelors degree in elementary and early childhood education from Gwynedd-Mercy College. I have a Masters degree in education and English as a Second Language from Rider University. I have taught in San Diego, California, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and Hamilton. My experience teaching spans from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade in regular education as well as special education.
When I think of my experience in second grade, I remember being so lucky to have a teacher that was dedicated to building her students' confidence through her instruction everyday. I am sure you have similar experiences with teachers who stand out in your mind. I love teaching and my passion is to help make each child feel they are successful, they belong, they are accepted, and their differences are celebrated! I believe the teaching profession to be one of the most important ones because we are preparing children for their and our futures. I really look forward to teaching your children and working with your families.
