Degrees and Certifications:
Kate McCarney graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies. She then attended Rutgers University's Graduate School of Education where she earned a Master's degree in the field of Elementary Education.
Mrs. McCarney has been a Wilson Wildcat since September 2002. She began her career as a fifth grade teacher. She taught fifth grade for eight years before transitioning into a fourth grade teacher. Kate taught fourth grade for two years. During her third year as a fourth grade teacher, she switched roles from a classroom teacher into a Basic Skills Teacher. She has taught both basic skills teading and math since November 2012.
Kate is married and has two children, Jack and Brody. She enjoys spending the time with her family and friends. Her favorite vacation spot is, and forever will be, Ocean City, New Jersey.
