Mrs. Jennifer McKeever
Mrs. McKeever is a veteran teacher in the field of Special Education. She most recently completed an M.A degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a dual focus in Literacy & Multisensory Reading. As a lifelong learner, she continually strives to become a more effective teacher in order to help her students become stronger readers and achieve their greatest potential. Her professional goals this year include the completion of coursework for Reading Specialist Certification. Mrs. McKeever started the Multisensory Reading Program at Reynolds in 2001, providing a structured literacy, research-based multisensory approach for students with language-based learning disabilities/dyslexia. Mrs. McKeever is an Orton Gillingham Certified Dyslexia Therapist (CDT) recognized by both the International Dyslexia Association and The International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC). She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a 5th generation Californian. She is a big fan of her Waterpolo playing husband, Ken McKeever, professor at Rutgers University, and her two Irish Dancing daughters, Nicole and Natalie, owners of The McKeever School of Irish Dance in Sacramento, California.
