    If you become a member of the swim team please make sure to check the calendar and meet dates as to NOT schedule appointments or other things on these days.  It is extremely important to be at practice each day and attend all meets and invitational's as scheduled.  Missing just one, two hour practice can set you behind your competition.  Missing any practices before the day of the meet, no matter what the circumstance, will result in not swimming during the meet.

     

    STAY IN SHAPE!    EAT RIGHT!     STAY HYDRATED!

    Here are some ideas to stay in shape (or get in shape) before swim season officially begins!  You can do all or pick & choose.

    Please make sure you stay hydrated and be safe at all times!  These are NOT required,just some suggestions.  Make sure you are healthy and have no injuries before you begin a workout.  Have fun and be safe!

        • Planks
          • beginners: 3 sets of hold 30 sec.
          • advanced: 3 sets of hold 1 min or 3 sets side planks hold for 30 sec - 1 min.
        • Push-ups
          • Beginners: on knees 5 sets of 12
          • Intermediate: regular 5 sets of 12
          • Advanced:  push-up to a side plank left, push-up to side plank right.  repeat 10 times on each side.
        • Walking lunges
          • Beginners:  3 sets of 10
          • Intermediate: 3 sets of 15
          • advanced: 3 sets of 20
        • Running & Sprints on track
          • Beginner:  walk the straights & jog the turns for 1 mile
          • Intermediate: jog the straights & sprint the turns for 1 mile
          • Advanced: jog 1 lap, sprint 1 lap repeat for 1 mile
        • Abdominal Crunches of any type.

    Practice times on Saturday's & over breaks will be announced at practice & posted on this website as soon as the coaches are informed of the building hours.      

     

    Be prepared with the following for practices:

          • Bathing suit,  Goggles, Flip Flops, Towel(s)

          • Hair-tie for longer hair,  Swim cap(s)

          • Light Snack (before practice & after practice).  Bananas & Oranges are good to eat if your muscles tend to cramp up a lot.  Please stay hydrated during the day and well fed:)

          • H2O, or Sports Drink

          • Appropriate attire for the weather outside!  Your head will be wet after practice. Dress warm! HATS, JACKETS, SOCKS, SCARVES, ETC!
