Good Morning Families:
Today is a "bittersweet" day for me! It is the last day of school for the school year, and the last day your child will be in Kindergarten. I am very happy to have been your child's Kindergarten teacher this year; thank you for allowing me to be a part of their growth. I am also very proud of the progress they all have made throughout this year. I am truly going to miss having them in my class; they are a special group. I hope I had touched their lives in a special way, just as how they have touched my live in a huge way. I sincerely hope that I have served them well, despite the challenges we have, especially being faced with remote learning.
Today, as they say good-bye to Kindergarten, and hello First Grade, I want to wish all of them the best in the next chapter of their lives. We will celebrate them in our Morning meeting today with a slide show, just showing some of the wonderful memories we had made in Kindergarten. Our morning meeting will begin at 10:30 am. Students should bring something for show-and-tell this morning. Please feel free to stop by for our slide show.
To all our Parents/Guardians: this year would not have been a success without you. I want to thank you for all that you have done, and for sticking with us during this challenging Remote Learning period. I truly appreciate all that you have done.
Report cards will be available today on Powerschool. Please note your child may get a "2" on different areas, especially in Science and social Studies. A "2" means your child is working towards meeting that Kindergarten standard/goal. Due to remote learning, there were some things that we were not able to spend a lot of time on and reinforce, so please do not be alarm. Students will receive information in the Summer on what First Grade class they will go to, along with other important information about the next school year. Please look out for these upcoming information. Good luck to all. I will really miss you.
Once again, thanks you for everything, have a wonderful summer, and good luck in First Grade. It was a pleasure working with you. Please feel free to still reach out to me if you have questions or concerns. Thank you.
PS: I will be sharing a poem with you for your child. This will be sent through your email. Please look out for it.
